You’ve probably seen more of your home in 2020 than in the decade before.
You also had and still have to make more of your home than ever before. You probably had to juggle around and add all kind of weird and wonderful functions to your home: home office, classroom, playground, canteen, workout space (check out this wonderful video from the dancers of the Opéra de Paris), art studio…
What you may have discovered
You probably discovered things about your home that were less than desirable and that you weren’t aware of before and/or that you could previously avoid or simply didn’t notice because you were going out, eating out or sleeping out. Your focus was outside of the house – before.
It’s not very far fetched to imagine that you also discovered things about yourself that you found less desirable and that you weren’t aware before and/or that you could previously avoid or simply didn’t notice because you were by going out, eating out or sleeping out. Focusing on the outside world.
But somehow we all managed to get through this time – sometimes thanks to our home and oftentimes despite our home, depending on which of your qualities your home mirrored back to you!
In the beginning everyone hoped that all this would be over in the foreseeable future. We now know that ‘back to normal’ will not happen by Tuesday and that we will have to live with restrictions and possible lock downs for still some time to come.
